Program Changes and Cancellations

Programs and artists are subject to change. If an event presented by Carnegie Hall is cancelled or postponed, we will announce the change—if time permits—by email, phone, a letter sent to your home, and on carnegiehall.org. To confirm a concert, call 212-247-7800. We encourage you to use your carnegiehall.org account when purchasing tickets to ensure that we have your up-to-date contact information in the event of any significant changes.

Single Ticket Sales

All sales are final. No refunds, no exchanges. Artists, programs, dates, and prices are subject to change. Tickets are not redeemable for cash. Lost, stolen, or destroyed tickets may not be replaceable.

If a refund is necessary, it may need to be issued by check. Refund checks are mailed to the primary address on file and can take up to three weeks to process. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Additional Ticketing Policies for the Resnick Education Wing

Tickets are required for each attendee, including infants. For free events, tickets serve as a confirmation of your reservation, but do not guarantee admission. For this reason, you are asked to arrive 30 minutes early.

Donate Your Tickets

If you are unable to use your tickets to a Carnegie Hall–presented event (eligible concerts are listed on our website as “Carnegie Hall Presents”), we will gratefully accept them as a tax-deductible contribution. Call 212-247-7800 for more information or return your tickets to the Box Office. You will receive an acknowledgment of your ticket donation for tax purposes. Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law; please consult your tax advisor. Tickets can be donated up to two hours before the performance.

Didn’t Get Your Tickets?

If you requested that we mail your tickets and you did not receive them within 10 days of placing your order, email feedback@carnegiehall.org or call 212-247-7800 with your account information. You may also visit the Box Office to make alternate arrangements. If you received mobile wallet tickets and need them reissued, please contact us. Kindly note that lost, stolen, or destroyed tickets may not be replaceable.

Will-Call Ticket Pick Up

To reduce pre-concert lobby congestion, we recommend picking up tickets held at the Box Office no later than two hours before the event. The Box Office is open daily (Monday through Saturday, 11 AM–6 PM; Sunday, 12 PM–6 PM). On days with evening performances, the Box Office is open until 30 minutes after the event begins.

Tickets for Mobile Wallets (Apple/Google)

Event tickets can now be downloaded directly onto your mobile device. After selecting mobile wallet delivery, you’ll receive a link in your confirmation email. You can use this link to add your tickets to your mobile wallet, which you’ll use to enter Carnegie Hall on the day of your event. Please note that mobile wallet tickets must be downloaded to your device and cannot be printed. If you have any questions, email feedback@carnegiehall.org or call 212-247-7800.

Adding Tickets to a Mobile Wallet (Apple/Google)

  • Open your order confirmation email on your mobile device and click the “Get Tickets” button.
  • On the Order Summary screen, tap “Add to Apple Wallet” or “Save to Phone.”
  • When the digital tickets appear, tap “Add” to store them in your mobile wallet. If a mobile wallet is not installed on your device, you will be directed to a webpage where you can complete the process.
  • Mobile wallet tickets must be downloaded to your device for entry; they cannot be printed.

Ticket Limits

Please adhere to all published ticket limits. Unless otherwise noted, the limit is eight tickets per household per performance. Student tickets and Notables tickets (available for selected presentations) are limited to two tickets per household per performance. Persons who exceed these limits may have any or all of their ticket orders cancelled without notice by Carnegie Hall at its discretion. This includes orders with the same name, email address, billing address, credit card number, and/or other information.

If you would like to purchase 10 tickets or more to a specific Carnegie Hall presentation, contact groupsales@carnegiehall.org by email or call 212-903-9705.

Abuse of subscriber policies could lead to reduced subscriber benefits (such as loss of exchange or name-change privileges) or cancellation of subscriptions.

Third-Party Ticket Purchases

Carnegie Hall is not responsible for tickets purchased through unauthorized third parties such as ticket brokers or resale outlets. Tickets purchased from third parties may not be valid and unusable for admittance. We cannot replace lost or stolen third-party tickets. Tickets purchased from third parties may be priced much higher than the ticket’s actual value, and we will be unable to contact holders of such tickets about program changes or cancellations. Defacing, unauthorized duplication, or resale of a ticket may prevent your admittance.

Help us serve you in the best manner possible by only purchasing your tickets from carnegiehall.org, 212-247-7800, or the Carnegie Hall Box Office.

Service Charge and Delivery Fees

When purchased online at carnegiehall.org or by calling 212-247-7800, a non-refundable service charge of $5 per ticket applies for tickets valued up to $25 and $11 for tickets valued over $25. There is no service charge on individual tickets purchased in person at the Carnegie Hall Box Office. A service charge of $25 per order applies to all group sales.

A delivery fee of $35 per purchase applies to all tickets delivered via FedEx expedited delivery, and a delivery fee of $4 per purchase applies to all tickets delivered via USPS Mail.

Ticket Scanning

Our electronic scanning of tickets upon entry helps prevent problems that can cause pre-concert delays or long lines in the lobby, and also enables you to retain your entire ticket as a concert souvenir. When exchanging or donating a ticket, a new ticket is issued in place of the returned ticket, and only the most recently issued ticket for a specific seat location at a given performance is valid for entry. If you have any questions, email feedback@carnegiehall.org or call us at 212-247-7800.

Discounts

Please note that discounts cannot be combined with any other offer, are subject to availability and prior sale, and are not valid on prior purchases. Discounts may be discontinued at any time.

Security and Venue Policies

We greatly appreciate your cooperation with security measures for the safety of our audience, artists, and employees. Visitors may not bring weapons or hazardous materials into Carnegie Hall.

Carnegie Hall reserves the following rights and to take any appropriate action to enforce these rights without the refund of any portion of the ticket price:

  • Search all ticket holders’ bags and personal property
  • Refuse to admit oversized bags or parcels
  • View tickets upon entry to each level
  • Deny anyone admission
  • Deny latecomers entry
  • Request that any ticket holder leave

Performance Conduct and Recording Policy

Use of phones or other electronic devices during any performance is prohibited. Devices must be silenced during the performance. Photographic, sound, or video recording of any performance, or the possession of any professional-grade device that can be used for such recording without written permission of Carnegie Hall, is strictly prohibited. Unauthorized photographs, video, or other recordings may be deleted at Carnegie Hall’s discretion.

Media and Consent

Carnegie Hall performances may be recorded. By attending a performance, you agree to your image and likeness being used in any media in connection with live or recorded transmission or reproduction of the performance or other Carnegie Hall programs, as well as in any advertising, trade, or promotion relating to Carnegie Hall or its programs.
