Music by Gabriela Ortiz and one-of-a-kind vocal ensemble The Crossing anchor Can We Know the Sound of Forgiveness, a powerful, multidisciplinary collaboration that explores vital questions of our time. Alisa Weilerstein continues her multisensory FRAGMENTS project, weaving J. S. Bach’s cello suites with new works, responsive lighting, and innovative scenic architecture. The prolific American Composers Orchestra performs pieces by Alice Coltrane, Tania León, and more, and premieres new works alongside composer-performers Clarice Assad and Edmar Castañeda. The International Contemporary Ensemble honors the Pierre Boulez centennial with a 21st-century take on the visionary artist and his legacy.
