Mitsuko Uchida
Pianist Mitsuko Uchida is one of today’s most supremely sensitive performers, interpreters, and collaborators. Across her three-season Carnegie Hall Perspectives series, which concludes in 2024–2025, she acts as a musical guide and mentor to audiences and other artists alike.
In 2024–2025, Uchida performs an eagerly anticipated solo recital of Schubert and Beethoven piano sonatas, and as soloist with the Boston Symphony Orchestra she performs Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4. She also brings to a close a multi-season residency with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra focused on the piano concertos of Mozart. In addition, Uchida continues her longstanding tradition of showcasing rising talents, performing chamber works alongside select musicians from the Marlboro Festival.
